The grapes for Leylines Shiraz come from vineyard blocks that neighbour Songlines and Bylines McLaren Vale Shiraz. Often just as old, these vines produce fruit that is selected for its approachability.

The Shiraz is then blended with a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from one of the oldest family-owned vineyards in the Coonawarra, giving Leylines its own deep and unique heritage.

The winemaking uses warmer ferments in traditional open fermenters with hand pigeage four times each day to soften the palate, and the use of older barrels to impart less oak dominance.

Balanced and fully approachable on release, Leylines will also hold for a good 6–8 years.
